Worlds Longest Limousine Car..

Limousines are all about being noticed and that is certainly what Jay Ohrberg of Burbank California gets in his 100 foot limo.

Jay designed his monster limo himself and now hires it out through his car hire company. The limo has 26 wheels and can be driven rigidly or adjusted to bend in the middle around corners. This incredible car is currently in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest car in the world and even has two driver's compartments - one at each end - to help with reversing.

The longest car in the world is better equipped than many Hollywood mansions, including luxuries like a large Jacuzzi tub, a sun deck, a helipad, a swimming pool (with a diving board of course), a king sized bed and a satellite dish, just to name a few.

While the limo isn't actually street legal, it is mainly hired out for exhibitions and to be used in movies. Could you imagine a 100 foot limo driving around your neighbourhood? Only in America!

Macallan 1946 ($460,000)

This bottle of single malt whisky in a LaliqueCire Perdue decanter was sold in 2010 at an auction, with the proceeds going to charity. This whisky is unusual in that it was made with peated malt because of the then-prohibitive prices of coal that shot up because of World War II. This is a classic Macallan and one of the best ever released.

Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 1955 ($94,000)

Glenfiddich had a barrel of Scotch whisky that has been aging since New Year's Eve of 1955. When Janet Sheed Roberts, the granddaughter of Glenfiddich's founder William Grant, passed away at 110, the company decided to honour her by making 15 bottles from the said barrel. Four were kept by the family while the rest were auctioned off. A whisky connoisseur from Atlanta bought one of them for $94,000.

Macallan 1926 ($75,000)

This is the oldest in the Fine and Rare collection of Macallan. It was distilled in 1926 and bottled only in 1986. Only 40 bottles were produced. It is dry and concentrated as no water has been added to it.

Dalmore 62 Single Highland Malt Scotch Matheson ($58,000)

Only 12 bottles were made in 1942, each of which was given names unique but relevant to the Dalmore Estate. The most expensive was the Matheson, named after Alexander Matheson, the owner of the estate.

Glenfiddich 1937 ($20,000)

It was distilled in 1937 in Scotland. Left to age gracefully, the barrel was then opened and the whisky was bottled in 2001. Only 61 bottles were made. The whisky is said to have a rich walnut color, though it has hints of cedar, cinnamon, cloves and toffee.

Macallan 55-Year-Old ($12,500)

This whisky was distilled in a sherry oak barrel and aged for 55 years. The single malt whiskey was then bottled in a Lalique Crystal Decanter, made by Rene Lalique who created a similar perfume bottle in 1910.

Dalmore 50-Year-Old ($11,000)

It is one of the best 50-year-old whiskies ever made and much sought after. The whisky was first distilled in 1920 and then bottled in 1978, with only 60 bottles being produced. The bottles themselves were made of crystal decanters.

Glenfarclas 1955 ($10,878)

In 1865, John Grant bought the Glenfarclas Distillery in Ballindalloch in Scotland from Robert Hay. The distillery, at that time, was already running for 29 years. To celebrate his ancestor's birthday, George Grant handpicked a barrel in 1955 that would honour the man who started the family business. This barrel was then bottled in 2005.

The Macallan 1939 comes from the distillery company's Fine and Rare collection. The whisky was first bottled in 1979 after the company had it aged for 40 years. It comes in one of their classic Lalique crystal decanter. Macallan is known for producing a strong collection of whiskies.

To celebrate the golden jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002, Chivas Regal released a specially-made whisky called the Chivas Regal Royal Salute. Just like the queen's ascension to the throne, this whisky was also laid to a barrel in 1952 and aged for 50 years.

Mist, a Holstein cow hailed as the probable matriarch of a dynasty of star milk producers, was bought  by a group of investors for $1.3 million, the largest price ever paid for a cow at auction.

The figure was at least $100,000 above the price paid for the previous record holder, a Texas cow, said an auction spokesman, Kate McGrath.

The cow was bought by a group, Mist Syndicate, led by a Boston lawyer, Jerome Rappaport, who was Mist's sole owner before the auction.

Mr. Rappaport, who owns a farm in East Montpelier, said he put Mist up for auction ''to generate the concept of the value of the cow.''

''Mist is a show cow,'' Mr. Rappaport said. ''She has a high pedigree, high index and her milk has a high butterfat content. She sold today not only for herself, but for her 14 pregnancies as well.''

''Five or six of her offspring have sold collectively for $500,000,'' he added, ''and she's still a young cow. She can be the founder of a great generation of cows.''

Owls don't have eyeballs. The eyes are long and shaped more like a tube. Owl eyes can't turn in their sockets because of this shape. 

Owls and the related nightjars (including Whip-poor-wills and nighthawks) are among the only birds that have a larger upper eyelid than lower eyelid. That, their forward-facing eyes, and feather-covering at the base of their beak, make them appear more human-like than other birds. Their human-sounding voices are one reason so many cultures throughout the world have stories and folklore about owls.

Owls can see in the daytime. Their pupils don't get as small as ours in bright light, so to block out the extra light, they often close their eyes half-way or more. They may look sleepy or even half asleep when really they are wide awake and alert.

Vision cells (called rods and cones) are in the retina of all animals. But birds and primates (including humans) have a special area in the retina called the fovea where these vision cells are especially concentrated. In hawks and owls, the fovea is on the upper part of the retina, so things below the owl appear exceptionally clear. This helps them hunt on the ground. When owls close their eyes half way, they block out the sky and some of the sunlight, but can still see the ground below perfectly

Frogs have very special skin! They don't just wear it, they drink and breathe through it. 
Frogs don't usually swallow water like we do. Instead they absorb most of the moisture they need through their skin. 

Not only that, but frogs also rely on getting extra oxygen (in addition to what they get from their lungs) from the water by absorbing it through their skin. Because frogs get oxygen through their skin when it's moist, they need to take care of their skin or they might suffocate. Sometimes you'll find frogs that are slimy. This is because the frog skin secretes a mucus that helps keep it moist. Even with the slimy skin, these frogs need to stay near water. Toads on the other hand have tougher skin that doesn't dry out as fast, so they can live farther from water than most frogs. 
In addition to jumping in water, frogs and toads can get moisture from dew, or they can burrow underground into moist soil. 
Frogs shed their skin regularly to keep it healthy. Some frogs shed their skin weekly, others as often as every day! This looks pretty yucky...they start to twist and turn and act like they have the hiccups. They do this to stretch themselves out of their old skin! Finally, the frog pulls the skin off over it's head, like a sweater, and then (this is gross) the frog EATS IT!!!! (EEEEEWWW!)

It is believed that the yo-yo most likely originated in China. The first historical mention of the yo-yo, however, was from Greece in the year 500 B.C. These ancient toys were made out of wood, metal, or painted terra cotta disks and called just that, a disc. It was customary, when a child turned of age, to offer toys of their youth to certain gods. Due to the fragile nature of the material, it is presumed that the disks made of terra cotta (clay) were used for this purpose rather than for actual play. A vase painting from this time period shows a Greek youth playing with a yo-yo. Such vases, as well as an actual terra cotta disk can be found in the National Museum of Athens, Greece. Flamingos are pink or orange or white depending on what they eat. Flamingos eat algae and crustaceans that contain pigments called carotenoids. Flamingos that eat mostly algae are more deeply colored than birds that eat the small animals that feed off of algae. Captive flamingos are feed a special diet that includes prawns (a pigmented crustacean) or additives such as beta-carotene or canthaxanthin, otherwise they would be white or pale pink. Young flamingos have gray plumage that changes color according to their diet.

30 ways to keep your wife happy

1. SMS her some love during the day.
2. Help her fill in her 12-hugs-a-day tank with lots of hugs (and kisses).
